Krishi Aranya Protsaha Yojane (KAPY): translates to Agro Forestry development scheme. KAPY started in 2011-12 in order to promote the co-operation of farmers and general public in the task of increasing forest and tree cover. As per the programme, farmers are provided seedlings at subsidized rates from the nearest nurseries of the Forest Department for planting in their lands. For assistance fill in form below

KAPY scheme

Who can apply? Any person with agricultural land (RTC), Aadhaar & Bank a/c for direct transfer is eligible.

Where / How can I plant? There are different ways and places in which KAPY saplings can be planted

Empty gadde (fields)
Arecanut plantations - Intercrop
Rubber plantations - Intercrop
Coconut plantations - Intercrop
Hedge planting, Live fencing
Plant on water harvesting lines
Plant as bio barriers
Already having native species on the property? Get subsidy on this. No need to plant more

Terms & Payment:

Max 165 plants per acre
You can claim subsidy for 165 plants per acre. Example 165 plants x 125 Rs = 20,625 Rs per acre
No upper limit. You can avail scheme for 1 acre or 100 acres
Direct transfer of Rs 35, Rs 40 and Rs 50 for each surviving seedling after completion of first, second and third year respectively. Total of Rs 125

BSI scheme

Who can apply? Same as KAPY

Where / How can I plant? Same as KAPY (see Bamboo+Rubber Intercrop demo plot)

Terms & Payment:

Same as KAPY but only for Bamboo saplings
Subsidy, instead of 125Rs you can avail 200Rs/plant. Example 165 plants x 200 Rs = 33,000 Rs per acre
Upper limit 3.6 acres or 600 bamboo saplings
Direct transfer of Rs 100, Rs 50 and Rs 50 for each surviving seedling after completion of first, second and third year respectively. Total of Rs 200
